Obituary of John Clarence Kell
Kell: John "Jack "Clarence, age 69, of Antigonish passed away suddenly February 9, 2014. Born March 6, 1944 in Antigonish, he was the son of the late Alex and Margaret (Rogers) Kell. A truly beautiful man, he loved his wife and family. He enjoyed his many friends and co workers, having only retired a few years ago from Quality Concrete in Antigonish. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards (especially if he won), watching harness racing and his little sawmill across the road. He spent many nights at the barn talking with Jim, Frank, and Finley and whoever would stop by. He was a member of St. Ninian’s Parish his whole life. Jack was religious man of great faith. No words can express our sadness and loss of such a kind and gentle man. Jack is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary(Kelly) Kell, his daughters, Mary (Jeff) MacDonald, Antigonish; Kim (Doug) MacDonald, James River; his son Donnie Kell, Dartmouth; grandchildren, John Dan, Margaret Ann, Peter, Maura, Katie, Allie and Melissa. Jack is also survived by his brother Jim, Antigonish; his sisters, Alexina (late Edward) MacDonald, Antigonish; Leona (late Harry) O’ Brien, Maryvale; Frances (Ambrose) Chisholm, Linwood; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday February 12, 2014 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass Thursday February 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only please.
