Obituary of Daniel MacInnis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Daniel Blaise MacInnis, age 63, of R. K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, formerly of Cape George Point, Antigonish Co., on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Mark and Isabel (MacInnis) MacInnis.
Blaise was a man of great faith and tremendous courage, and was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. He enjoyed life to the fullest, despite his disability from birth and the many obstacles that he faced along the way. He loved company and always had a welcoming smile on his face for everyone. He loved playing crib, country music, singing at the R. K. Nursing Home, and his daily Tim Hortons coffee. Surviving are sisters, Martha MacInnis, Antigonish; Hilma (Bert) Fougere, Linwood; brother, Hughie (Mary), Cape George Point; four nieces and three nephews. He also held a special place in his heart for his great niece, Isla May, of whom he was so proud. Blaise spent the last six and a half years at the R. K. MacDonald Nursing Home.
The family would like to thank their staff for all the wonderful care they provided to our very special brother, friend, and uncle.
