Obituary of Bernard MacDonald

Bernard "John C" MacDonald, 95 of Addington Forks, Antigonish County, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 19, 2015 in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Addington Forks, he was a son of the late John C. and Florence (MacLellan) MacDonald. Bernie was a member of St Joseph’s Parish. He worked in his earlier years as a mechanic and later on maintenance at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Surviving are wife Elizabeth, Antigonish, daughters Mary (Walter) Dea, Halifax, Patsy (Art) Bacon, Campbellton, son Billy, Antigonish, step-son Ian (Dawn) MacDonald, Antigonish, 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, brother Sander (Alice), Salem, MA, sister Evelyn (Roland) Richard, Moncton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Pearl Malone and sister Mary Deagle. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, October 21 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00am Thursday in St. Joseph’s Church, St Joseph’s. Burial in the parish Cemetery. Donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
