Obituary of Sue Musial

We wish to announce the passing of Sue (Duprey) Musial, 87, of Antigonish. Sue passed away on May 17, 2014 at her home. Born on Dec. 28, 1926 in Westville, NS she was the daughter of Joe and Hattie (Melanson) Duprey. She graduated from Secretarial School and went to work at the NS Agricultural College where she met and married Paul in 1954. After living in various communities in Ontario and New Brunswick, Sue and Paul settled down in Antigonish County. She was a secretary for two years for the Antigonish School Board, taught secretarial skills at night school and worked with Paul in their retail business retiring in 1992. Sue had the "gift of hospitality" as was evident by the hundreds of people welcomed and fed in her home over the years. Sue is survived by her husband Paul; children Anne (Herman) van den Heuvel, Whycocomagh, NS; Paula (Sandra McMurray) Musial, Halifax, NS; Joey Bishop, Bowmanville, Ontario; Michael (Alanna Campbell) Musial, Waverly; Susan (Myles) Hickey, Antigonish; Stephen (Fran) Musial, Oshawa, Ontario; Martin Musial, Oshawa, Ontario, 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Father Reginald, Cecil, Hector, Morris, Joe and sisters Sister Crescentia, C.S.M., Agnes and Margaret. Visitation at MacIsaac Funeral Home, Pleasant Street, Antigonish 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 20; 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 with funeral at 11 a.m. May 22 St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish.
