Obituary of Edith Mae Hingley

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the quiet and peaceful passing of Edith Mae Hingley at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish on October 26, 2015. Born in Kemptown, Colchester Co. on November 29, 1917; she was the eldest daughter of Ambrose and Ida Mae (Cruickshank) Hingley. She was a member of the St. James United Church UCW and a volunteer of many church functions. Edith is survived by sons Warren (Louise), Paul (Bev), and daughter Chris (Billy) McGrath, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister Jean MacLean in North Sydney, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Warren and brother Theodore. Private service will be held at St. James and St. Paul’s Cemetery, Antigonish.
