Obituary of Mary MacEachern

It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother Mary "Florence" MacEachern. After a lengthy battle with lung disease, she passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital on June 18 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Beaver Meadow, and lived in Morristown for many years before traveling to Ontario, then to British Columbia to live with family. A loving and devoted mother of nine children, Mary (Florence) has left a lasting impression on the lives of all that had known her. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her children Anthony, Wayne, Kevin, Wyman (Cecilia), Richard, Tena (Dave), Lisa, Roy (Geraldine) and John (Angela), fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also by her siblings, Bernie (Glenda), Barry (Bossy), Ken (Linda), Milton and Dena, sister in-laws, Carol and Anne Marie; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Anthony, parents Martin Gillis and Mary MacPhee (Gillis), siblings Roy, Frank, Gordon, Alexander (Sonny), Carmel, Joan and half siblings, Rose, Jennie and Marie. Visitation 7-9 pm Monday, June 30 and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, July 1, in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St, Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11am Wednesday in St. Columba Church, Rev. Evo DiPierro presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
