Obituary of Arnold Joseph MacNeil

Arnold Joseph MacNeil of Antigonish, formerly of Lanark, died October 6, 2014 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. He was born April 11, 1943, the son of Daniel A. J. MacNeil and Anna H. (MacPhee) MacNeil. He was predeceased by his partner Agnes Smith, siblings James, Jeanette, John l (Jack), and Ronald. He is survived by siblings Donald (Marilyn), Truro; Owen, Dartmouth; Margaret Anne, Dartmouth; twin Maurice, Antigonish; and by sister-in-law Helen, Toronto, and many nieces and nephews. Arnie graduated from the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology specializing in auto mechanics. He worked in northern Ontario, for Acadian Lines in Halifax, and in various positions in Truro, Port Hawkesbury, and Antigonish. He will be remembered by his many friends, especially those in his neighbourhood, for his kindness, generosity and wonderful sense of humour. Visitation Friday, October 10, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00, at MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 10am Saturday, October 11, in St Ninian’s Cathedral Interment in St. Ninian's Cemetery
