Obituary of Maureen Ann Haley

Maureen Ann Haley, 62, of Heatherton, Antigonish County, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Iris (Hutchinson) Haley. Maureen resided in the Heatherton Group Home which she enjoyed so much with her fellow brothers and sisters. She made many true friends over the years. Her love for fiddle music and book were equally enjoyed. Maureen attended the Activity Center and the Special Olympics, and enjoyed gathering with her family. Surviving are brothers Bernie (Mary), Brierly Brook, Raymond,(Eileen), Frasers Grant, Jim (Doris), Afton, Brian (Linda), Ottawa and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday October 17 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 10:00am Saturday, October 18 in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton. Burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heatherton Group Home or the Heatherton Development Cultural and Wellness Center.
