Obituary of George Henry Bardell

George Henry Bardell, in his 81st year, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2015 at Elk Court Lodge in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Cecil and Ethel (Redfern) Bardell. He is survived by his wife, Lois; son Shawn (Kimberley) Munroe, grandchildren Craig and Colin; step-sons Bernie Swan, Ron (Janice) Swan, step-daughters Lorey (Darryl) Valdron, Lisa (Garth) Dean; step-grandchildren, Kira, Kevin, Darren, Amanda, Clarissa and Bailey; one brother, Cecil (Loraine) Bardell, and one sister, Alice Bryden along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Violetta Bardell, and sister June (Richard) Forsyth. Internment in St. James and St. Paul’s Cemetery, Antigonish will take place on May 30, 2015. In lieu of flowers donations in George’s memory can be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association, Alzheimer Society of Canada, or the Elk Court Lodge in Brookfield, NS.
