Obituary of Valerie Sherry Marie MacMillan

MacMillan (McKeough); Valerie Sherry Marie, 51, of Pomquet, Antigonish County, passed away peacefully in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on April 27, 2015. Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of Bridget (Murphy) and the late William McKeough, Fox Island. Surviving are her husband Terry, sons Travis "Squirt", Kyle "Marbles", granddaughter Kiara, daughters Jamie and Sarah. She is also survived by brother Kevin (Susan), sisters Mary Alice, Bernadette (Nelson), Geraldine, Lana (Kevin), and numerous nieces and nephews. Valerie will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humour, loving mother, true friend, angelic sister and her love of Care Bears and what they represented. The family would like to thank friends and family for their love and support during Valerie’s illness, especially life-long friends, Bernadette and Ingrid, and honourary sister Rhonda. Terry will miss his angel, and family will find comfort she is with her Angels in Care-a-lot. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Hazel Hill Community Center, Hazel Hill. Donations in Valerie’s memory may be made to St. Martha’s Palliative Care, Hazel Hill Community Center or charity of choice.
