Obituary of Teresa Claire McCallum
Teresa Claire McCallum, 78 of Antigonish, passed away peacefully, on May 19, 2018 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of the late Earl and Catherine (MacMillan) McCallum.
Teresa worked for 46 years at St. Francis Xavier University in the Priest’s Dining Room, where she took great pride in serving the priests that she loved dearly.
She had a strong love of animals, often stating that all of her children had paws.
She loved to spend time with family and was always up for a Saturday night card game. She loved decorating for every occasion and this was evident during her annual Halloween parties that always drew a crowd.
Teresa is survived by her sister Agnes Rogers, brothers Johnny, Paul, Gordon and Harry MacDonald, nephew Tommy (Edirlene) Rogers niece Earla Rogers and grandnephew TJ Rogers.
She was predeceased by brother Bernie MacMillan.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday, May 21 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11am Tuesday May 22, in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Rev Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
