Obituary of Charlotte Elizabeth "Girlie" Delorey

Charlotte Elizabeth “Girlie” Delorey, of Tracadie, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Tracadie August 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Michael Thomas and Mary Lucy S. (Delorey) Pettipas. Girlie was a lifelong resident of Tracadie, NS.

She is survived by daughter Patricia Fraser, Port Hawkesbury, sons William (Hilda Myette), Tracadie and Hurley, Antigonish, also surviving are her adopted brother Charles Halloran, South River, ON, sister-in –law Rita Delorey, Tracadie, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the USA.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles Paul Delorey, daughter Elaine Myette, brother William Michael Pettipas, sons-in-law Sampson Myette,Robert Fraser, and sister-in-law Margaret Pettipas.

Visitation 2-9 pm Thursday, May 31, 2018 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 2:30 pm Friday, June 1, in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, Rev. John Barry presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
