To Tom's family and loving friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences in his recent passing . I have fond memories of working with Tom in DFO back in the early 70's and living nearby his residence in Stewiack, N.S.He was a keen outdoors man and a joy to be around, both at work and at play.
May he rest in peace.

It was such a blessing to have Tom become part of our family, though it wasn't a long time, it left us with a lifetime of great memories. I will miss our phone calls where he would tease and ask me about the latest dumb thing Marchand did (especially in last years playoffs). I will treasure those moments he spent with us that included myself, Seth & Marley who absolutely adored him.
Rest in Peace Tom and God Bless

Sorry for your loss. Such a fine man. Worked with him for many years with the Bulldogs. Firm, fair and principled he was, and a very hard worker every day of his life. When Tom asked me to return to the Bulldogs as an executive it was impossible for me to say no to a fellow who spent the better part of his life making hockey shorten the winters here in Antigonish. He was a good man and the hockey community will miss him dearly.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom for many years at DFO in the 1980s and 1990s. We dealt with many new and challenging issues during those years, and I could always count on Tom saying and doing the right things in the right ways. He made significant contributions to the Conservation and Protection program.
My condolences to his family and relatives. RIP Tom for a life well lived.

Sorry for the loss of such a fine man. Tom was involved with the Jr Bulldogs and taught us many things. When he believed in a point , he wouldn't back down. And that's the person , man he was all his life. I cherish the chats we had and many we did. Rest easy travelling man and until we meet again. You are a true gentleman and you will never be forgotten. Thank you for all you have done for our town. Enjoy your next chapter .

Hi Bob. Hello from Abu Dhabi UAE. On behalf of Pat and myself, I would like to past on our condolences for the lost of Tom your dad. Not many people know but he was and will always be a part of the Junior A Bulldog history in Antigonish. When no Jr. B league would take us because of our superiority your dad as President to our club, and myself committed to the Metro Jr. A Hockey League. His leadership, commitment and dedication to hockey, the town, players and general public was out standing. Bob, I stand to be corrected but you had graduated from being our Championship Captain in Junior B when your father led us into this new venture. He was without a doubt a visionary, a man who led by example and taught me many lessons as a young man and father. The legacy of Tom Kiely will forever be part of Bulldog History for all of many ages. A man I truly respected, learned from and will always be grateful to. God bless you and your family. You should always be proud of Tom and your mother Theresa. Until we meet again may the hockey gods and angels follow him to a loving and peaceful place.
