In my younger days we had many battles on the diamond between Williams Point and St. Andrews. I remember your Mom as being the #1 Flyers fan cheering on the team including Gerald on the mound and Hugh James at 3rd. One year way back in the early 80's I was playing with the Junior team and we lost to the Flyers in the AGR final. Your Mom was front and center leading the cheers.
Many great memories.
What a beautiful obituary.

My sympathies to the family, and my deepest respect and admiration to the writer(s) of one of the most beautiful, complete and eloquent obituaries I've read.
I hadn't seen Mary in years, but I well remember her laugh, her smile, and her ever-present joke de vivre. A classy sweetheart.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Chisholm family on the passing of your dear Mother. She was such a dear sweet soul with such an infectious laugh. I always remember Mom telling me that if the CWL were holding a luncheon, “Mary Tommy was in charge of the tea....no one else could make it as good as her.”
Please know that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Family of Mary Chisholm
The obituary of Mary (MacPherson) Chisholm in today's Chronicle Herold summarizes eloquently her own personality and by extension that of her dear departed parents, Angus and Bessie (MacIsaac) MacPherson of whom you her family, can be so proud, as well as of your good and exemplary paternal grandparents, Roddie Jim and Mary Eliza(MacDonald) Chisholm.
May God be with you in this time of parting and may we all meet merrily ( Your mother wouldn't want it any other way) in Heaven.
Father J.J. MacDonald, Oldest living native of Pomquet River.

Like anyone whoever met Mary,I am sorry to hear of her passing. But that is for selfish reasons because "going home" meant a visit with Her.These were a greater benefit to the visitor, who was always made to feel welcome.
Hers was such an example of how to live a life - family, Faith, community, time for others. A thoughtful word in times of adversity. And biscuits.
Mary was The Greatest FLYERS fan so I'm thankful we won the AGR my last year before moving on to other places. We had lost the first two games of a five game series and she was there for every minute with that smile, laugh and a bit of Gaelic. (Gerald pitched 5 games in 3 days)
And that laugh - whether at the ball field, hearing it walking by on the road or across from her at the kitchen table, that laugh was Musical.
To the Chisholm clan, condolences. The Obituary is beautiful & the video tells quite a story - I think you even got "Buddy"in there. (She deserved a higher Rank than the one in uniform). Four Fives & The Jack
Thank you for sharing her with us.

My deepest sympathy to the Chisholm Family. Mary was a great fan of the Sport of
Softball. She cheered her "Flyers" with great enthusiasm.
She also taught a new AGR President how to deal with the Sport. I am forever
grateful for her kindness and support when I traveled to St. Andrews and her trips to
Arisaig.
Thank You, Mary
