Obituary of Sheila MacEachern
Catherine “Sheila” (Boyd) MacEachern spent the last days of her life embraced in the love of her husband and children. Sheila was born July 15th, 1943 in Antigonish and passed away Easter Sunday, April 21st, 2019. Sheila was raised on Cribbons Point until she met and married her love and partner of fifty five years, Albert R. and set up their home at Ballantyne’s Cove. Sheila had a flair for baking and her endless flower beds always drew the attention of others. Albert and Sheila worked for many years in their boat building business which enabled her to be home. Sheila was a dedicated Mom first and foremost, she treasured her children and loved every moment with them. Her specialty was her role as “Mimi”, nothing made her smile more. She treasured her six brothers and sister, to Sheila, family was everything. She was always there for everyone and had the kindest heart. She was a loving wife to Albert and devoted Mom to her four children, Monica McCarron (Al), Hamilton, Ontario, Sandy MacEachern, Sarnia, Ontario, Boyd MacEachern (Sherri) , Bayfield and Jannifer Burns (Bobby), Eastern Passage. She was the best “Mimi” to grandchildren Corey, Kyle, Scott, Alex, Dean, Raechelle, Madison, Jainah, Lillie and Gracie and to her great grandchildren Lydia, Patrick and Declan. Sheila is survived by her brothers Angus R (Florence), Ross (Camilla), Paul (Laureen) and sister Rose Boudreau (Joe) Antigonish, George (late Peggy) and Gerard (Lynn) Vancouver. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Anne Boyd and her brother Allan Rankin (Flo). Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 from 2 -4 and 7 – 9 p.m., MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant Street, Antigonish. Funeral services 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26th , Holy Rosary Church, Ballantyne’s Cove, Rev Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. www.MacIsaacs.ca
