Obituary of Sarah Kelly
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Sarah Rita Mary (MacEachern) Kelly, 81, formerly of Glencoe, Guysborough Co. Sarah passed away peacefully October 5, 2019, surrounded by her family, in the RK MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Glencoe she was a daughter of the late Gregory and Matilda (Burns) MacEachern.
Sarah lived her life raising 14 children. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was a woman of strong faith and had a beautiful smile that would light up any room she entered. Surviving are daughters Donalda, Mary Phinney (Lee), both of Antigonish, Irene Tetley (James), Dryden ON, Clara Snell (Gordon), Roachville, Bridget, NF, Sarah Rose, Port Hawkesbury, sons Francis (Pearl), New Glasgow, George, Glencoe, William (Karen), Moncton, Michael, Halifax, Douglas, Clarence (Jennifer), both of Antigonish, 40 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, sisters, Theresa Zellers (Dave), PA, Margaret, New Glasgow, Mary, Halifax, brothers, John, Donald both of New Glasgow, Norman, Hants, Carmen (Ivy) Dartmouth.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jim, sons, Eddie, Gregory and John Peter in infancy. Sisters Ann Smith, Christina Cabello, brothers, George, Morris, Jerome, Lawrence and Andrew both in infancy, granddaughters, Amber and Kelly.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, October 9 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11 am Thursday, October 10 in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Salmon River. Donations to the RK MacDonald Foundation or charity of choice. www. MacIsaacs.ca
