Marlene and I only met Cyndy once with Sandy and Diane when Cyndy was visiting Toronto for a fitness conference. Wow what a dynamic personality! Even though it was a short visit, we were immediately impressed with Cyndy's energy, and commitment to community involvement. She will definitely be missed. Please accept our condolences to the Doucet family.

Ger,
So saddened to hear this and sad to be far away. Cyn was my first swimming buddy, before you arrived at X. She asked me to help push her because she was training for a lifeguard competition. She faithfully picked me up every morning for a year. No swim buddy has ever been as much fun. I am thankful to have many fond memories. I will keep you & the children in my prayers, may the peace of God which passes understanding comfort you all. God bless xo

To Gerry,Jensen, Breton, Camryn and Aidan
I want you all to know that I just watched every second of Cyndy's Tribute Video; and I read every word of her obituary, twice.
Now I sit here asking myself what I can possibly add to this message to bring you comfort …….. and I am simply lost for words.
I refuse to say "she was," as it is so very obvious that "she always will be!"
Every now and then we are given a blessing in our lives, and Gerry, your wife, and kids, your mom is a blessing. Now, and forever, you are blessed.
And I will never look at "The Bear" constellation in quite the same way again.

Dear Gerry and Family,
I grew up a 'year behind' Cyndy - but always knew of her bubbly and upbeat presence!. I remember asking her how she liked the family home in Mahoneys - and she was so exuberant about it! She said: "The water is so blue, blue and the grass is so green, green!!!" I always think of that when I drive by Mahoney's Beach.
So very sorry for your loss.

I remember really meeting Cyndy for the first time. It was the infamous white house - a Sunday morning - Gerry and Cyndy were in Gerry's room after another St. F.X.U. Saturday night of partying....Gerry invited the whole house to meet Cyndy in his room as they were both still in bed.....Cyndy rolled with it and with her memorable smile she said " hey Guys" and after that they were always together. Such a shock to wake up to her passing. Gerry and the whole Doucet clan - please accept my condolences and my prayers. I wish I could be there to celebrate an amazing life!

I was very sad to read this as Cyndy was a dear colleague. Her smile, her sense of humour and her warm heart was always on her sleeve. Our carpool trips were always memorable. Stories were shared and laughs made the trip enjoyable. I still chuckle when I think of Cyndy, each day, fielding the steady calls from her youngsters with a serene and steady calmness. Cyndy will be thought of often by many people including Patti and me. Her memory will bring smiles and even laughter. To the Doucet family we thank you for sharing your beloved Mom. She was your treasure and she was our friend. May your memories sustain you, give you strength and make you smile each and every day. Mom would not want it any other way. May God bless you all and may the love of family and friends help you and all who loved Cyndy get through this difficult time. I often remember Cyndy with the rising sun because our morning drive to Sherbrooke was often in the face of that warm sun and that remembrance is the same here in Nunavut. The sun and Cyndy's memory always brings a smile.

So very sorry to hear of Cindy passing, I met Cindy when I was 4 and Cindy was 5, we lived across the street on St. Mary’s , Cindy lived in this big beautiful house, and she had all the best toys, Cindy and I use to take turns on her tricycle, up and down her walk, we became great friends, I remember tasting my first piece of cold watermelon on that walkway, We were always so happy to see each other, life happened and we moved, I remember both of us crying when we had to say good bye, A few years ago at Highland games time, I was at the pub celebrations and this girl came over and sat at our table, she said Jackie, I looked in Cindys eyes, and I knew in an instant who she was, omg, it was my long lost friend, my kindred spirit, we hugged , laughed, and even she’d a few tears, it was wonderful , I’ll always cherish that moment, my friend never forgot me eigther, Condolences to all Cindys friends and family!

I have many fond memories of Cyndy when she and Gerry brought their children to Ingonish for fun in the sun and surf.
When my boys were young, they had so many cousins around that they were certain that Gerry and Cyndy’s children were also their cousins. There were many big crab feeds at the beach, and the Donovan and Doucet kids always had a ball. Even though Cyndy had many responsibilities as a mother, she always made it look easy with her positive outlook and tremendous sense of humour. I am certain that she will continue to watch over Gerry and her beautiful children. She will walk beside you. Sending you all love, strength, and prayers at this difficult time. XOX
