Obituary of Eileen Theresa Bray

Eileen Theresa Bray, 88, of Park Lane, Antigonish, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, December 9, 2019 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital. Born in Copper Lake, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Walsh) Bray.

She received her education in the Copper Lake School House. Eileen was a substitute teacher prior to entering the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha.  Upon leaving the religious community she worked at St. F. X. food services for 25 years until her retirement in 1996. Eileen was a woman of great faith and was devoted to her parents for many years. She had a love of animals, especially cats, feeding many strays. She created lasting friendships and left many good memories.

She is survived by her sister, Isabel (James) Diorio, Montreal and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as special friends Agnes Rogers and Elaine Bowie. She was predeceased by brother Vernon (Margaret) Bray. 

Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday, December 15, 2019 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11 am Monday, December 16 in St. Ninian Cathedral. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to VON Antigonish. www.MacIsaacs.ca
