I would like to send to you our deepest condolences on the passing of Jim.
He was so kind to Sarah over the years and had made it a joyful time for her at the nursing home by popping in every so often to visit. She talked about him to me over the years and always with a chuckle. She is deeply sadden to hear of his passing and wanted me to be sure to let you know that you all will be in her thoughts and prayers.
With sadden hearts, Sarah Melanson (retired DFO C&P Clerk) and Nancy Taylor (current DFO C&P Clerk).

Donna, Jennifer and Susan,
My sincere condolences to you on your loss. Jim was a professional and well liked Fishery Officer. I consider myself fortunate when I began my career with DFO in 1985 and worked under Jim’s supervision. Jim and I carried out numerous, productive patrols together. Jim’s ability to effectively communicate with our clients, along with his common sense approach to enforcement, was appreciated. As others have mentioned, Jim had a great sense of humour and always enjoyed a good laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Take care, Peter Taylor

My deepest condolences to the Webber family. I haven't known Jim for many years and for that I am certain it is my loss. I have been present at numerous meetings associated with the Christmas tree industry over the past 10 - 15 years where Jim was asked for his thoughts or opinion and I was always impressed by his responses. His commentary was well thought out presented with a positive spin and in a manner that all listening knew where Jim stood on the subject of discussion. It was obvious he had a love for the outdoors, growing Christmas trees and could be quite convincing when the opportunity presented itself. I quickly realized Jim loved a reason for a good laugh and could often bring a chuckle from others. He will be missed at Christmas tree gatherings and the gap he has left will be difficult to fill. May you feel God's presence at this time and in the coming days as you adjust to the loss.
Richard Levy, President Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia

The news of Jim’s death has saddened us. About 5 yeas ago our son Jacob worked in Jim’s Christmas tree lot thinning it out. Jacob at the time was only 15, yet Jim treated him as a man, earning much respect from Jacob. A great man, true loss - condolences!

Donna, Jennifer and Susie
Jim was a beloved and much respected member of our extended family.
We have lovely memories of family gatherings through the many years
although not enough of them.
One such gathering that comes to mind is attending Jennifer and Kevin's
wedding in New Orleans with all of you. We remember sitting on our shared
terrace at night under the stars with Jim, Donna and company. In our pj's ,
drinks in hand, listening to a jazz band playing on the street below. It was
wonderful to be there with family and friends.
Love and comfort,
Barb and Ross

My memories of Jim are back at "Depot", Troop 6, '68/69 and the times we shared together in the dorm, classroom, swimming pool and the gym. Many times I carried Jim in a cradle carry, as he did me, in our "PT" classes. My sincere condolences to Donna and the Webber family.
Rest in Peace buddy.
