Obituary of Allan Hugh Rogers

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Allan Hugh Rogers, 82, of Heatherton, Antigonish County, April 21, 2016 in Bissett Court, Cole Harbour. Born in Heatherton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (MacDonald) Rogers. Allan worked the family farm for a few years before moving to Toronto for a number of years working for Canada Post. Surviving are sons Stephen (Angela), Belleville, ON, Travis (Kerri), Nappanee, ON and loving papa to Nathan, Russell and Heidi, brothers: Ambrose (Madeline), Heatherton; Jerome (Mary), New Hampshire; Ronald (Cathy) , Heatherton;; sisters: Bernice Keay, Antigonish; Pauline (Jim) McCloskey, Orangeville, Ont.; Sharon MacIsaac, Bible Hill , foster brothers Ernie (Harriet) Daye, Antigonish, Reg (Jessie) Daye, Creignish and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Edward, Stephen, Philip, sisters Sr. Rosemary Rogers CSM, Helen Dunbar and Isabel Gillis. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 10:00am Wednesday, April 27 in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, Rev. Gary MacPherson presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations to Immaculate Conception Parish, Heatherton.
