To Sister Caroline's Martha and Lahey families, My heartfelt condolences on Sister Caroline's passing. I first met Sister when my mother, Tena, was a resident at the R.K. Sister was a caring, bright light in all the lives she touched. Not only was she kind and attentive to my Mom but through that relationship she became close friends with Mom's two sisters in Antigonish. Sister visited my aunts on a regular basis throughout the remainder of their lives. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sister Brendalee, Sisters of Saint Martha, and Lahey family, we offer you our sincerest condolences on the passing of Sister Caroline. She was an amazing person who knew how to bring smiles to everyone she met, and we recall how she genuinely cared for those to whom she ministered when we worked at the RK many years ago. Our Lord needed her more, so when He called, she answered…’and Martha served’. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure to know and sing with Sr. Caroline when she was a member of St. Ninians' Senior Choir. She was a very kind and happy soul. Sr. had a way of leaving someone happy after a brief or extended conversation with her. May she rest in peace and God bless her.

When I was a student at St F X back from 1979-1983, I met Sr. Carolyn at Martha Place. A few of us guys from PEI would go there to study and of course the hospitality of the Martha Sisters was so comforting. Being away from home, Sr. Carolyn was just like a mother to me. She would talk to me, guide me and make sure I had a nice home made meal from time to time. I will never forget her kindness. I saw her last about 5 years ago. Seeing her obituary brought me a tinge of sadness but also a sense of joy, knowing that after a life of service and touching the hearts of many people, she is at peace with her God. Thank you Carolyn for being so good to me. I will never forget you! Fr. Gerard Chaisson (Diocese of Charlottetown)
