Obituary of Judith Ann Grace
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a great friend and neighbour, Judith Ann (Judy) Grace. Born on August 31,1944 she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (McDaniel) Gillis, Lanark. She received her high school education at St. Joseph Convent in Mabou and trained as a registered nurse at St. Martha's Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years.
Judy was a lover of all animals, especially her cats (Molley and Jack). She was most happy when hummingbirds returned in the spring to her bird feeders. She also loved her music, sewing and knitting. Judy was a great neighbour and friend. She will surely be missed.
Judy is survived by her husband and best friend Everett Grace of William's Point; brothers-in-law James Nicodemus, Clelmsford, Mass.; sisters-in-law Evelyn Gillis, Dartmouth; Joan Gillis, Halifax; Patricia Stewart, Lanark; Paula Gogan, Dartmouth; Paulette Durant, Sackville, NB. She was predeceased by parents Michael and Mary Gillis, Lanark; brothers Bernard and William Gillis; Joseph Stewart; Albert Gogan; William Durant and sister Marilyn Ludley Nicodemus.
As per her request there will be no visitation or service. Burial in St. Ninian Cemetery. Donations may be made to CARMA Antigonish.
