Anne Marie, Fred and Family. My condolences on the loss of Gordon. Gordon frequented a store I worked in, and I always enjoyed his visits, but mostly his way of thinking when he was trying to solve a problem (which was usually when he would visit us). Thinking of you and yours during this time. Shari

What a wonderful, kind and interesting man Gordon was. I want to extend my sincere condolences to the entire family, and I am truly so sorry for your loss. I believe Gordon would certainly take great comfort in knowing that his wonderful, loving family have each to support and comfort themselves, and his friends, during this difficult time. Sending lots of love from Peter, Gill and Lukas

Gordon and I were in the Highland Games Parade1948?riding in the newly refurnished
Orient Buckboard. I was dressed in beautiful vintage clothes including parasol and bonnet all borrowed from Mrs. Will Archibald. Gordon was suitably outfitted in formal attire. I’ve been told that this picture is in many ‘automobile magazines’. It was a great occasion and lots of fun. A couple of years later Gordon and I did a proper survey of our camp property at Crystal Farms. Gordon was a kind, solid gentleman and contributed much to Antigonish.
With fond happy memories and my condolences to all

We were saddened to hear of Gordon’s passing and want to extend our sincerest sympathies to you all. Gordon was a kind Brother in Law and we will remember fondly good times with him and your Mother. He could always get a laugh with his wicked, dry sense of humour. We will always remember our ski trip to Austria and the many fun memories . We are sorry we will be unable to attend his memorial service but will be with him in our thoughts and prayers. We will be thinking of you all in this time of sadness and keeping you in our prayers.
Love
Harold, Bernadette, and Kevin

Dear Patricia, Terry, Susan, Michael, Ann Marie and Mark
We are so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. He is now reunited with your Mom in Paradise. Gordon lived a full life and was a "Gentleman" and a "Gentle Man" in all the things he did and the people he interacted with.
Back when he was a Professor at St. F. X., he did a lot of survey work all over Eastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton and I had the pleasure of being his rodman. Every Saturday we would load up the car and head out for the job where we tramped over Hell's half acre to set the lines. In spending a lot of time in the car, I got a real appreciation of how special a brother-in -law he was and I remember those times fondly. I also remember he only paid me $1.00 per hour.
May he rest in Pease and God Bless you all
Ira and Geraldine
