I was overseas when I heard of Clyde's passing. Clyde was my political bestie throughout the 80's and early 90's. There was not much that we didn't do together if it had the Liberal Party involved. There were many late nights with friends, discovering world problems, solving them and sometimes just laughing at ourselves over our ambitious desire to save "everything". He was a kind and passionate person and I have so many fond memories of my friendship with Clyde. Please accept my condolences. We lost a good soul and he is always remembered in my thoughts.

My sincere condolences to Clyde’s family in this very difficult time. I first met Clyde in Grade 10 when I moved from the county school to the “Regional”. Clyde was funny, passionate about politics ( like others in the Clique), smart, reliable to a fault, but above all kind, and it is his kindness I will remember most. Vale Clyde, from Alison Brand (Sydney, Australia)

Wow, such a tremendous loss! This was a gem of a human being. Kind, generous, intelligent, witty and always up for a chat. I was clearing out my aunts apartment and Clyde was in the lounge telling stories. This was just after Jim had passed. All I wanted to do was sit and listen. That was the last I saw him. What a great memory! I’ll bet there’s a lot of people with similar memories for that is just exactly who this guy was.
Peace

I worked with Clyde quite a few years ago. He was such a breath of fresh air in our office - always such a beautiful smile when he walked through the door in the morning and always with the funniest of stories to start the day with a good laugh. He was a hard worker and often had to be reminded to take time for lunch. Clyde took an interest in all his co-workers and their families. I often remember funny tales he told about growing up in such a large and loving family and how dearly he loved his Mom. May he now enjoy travelling new roads with his dear brother Jim. My sincere condolences and prayers to the family.

To Noreen and the Nunn family. I was shocked and saddened to hear about Clyde's death. He was a kind, friendly, nice guy who always had a beautiful smile when he saw you. He could also be very funny and had interesting stories. A great neighbour and knew what was going on in town or on the street. So many memories. A lot for a family in a month. Hoping him peace and comfort to his family . Remember the laughs he so enjoyed with us.

Clyde’s Family!
We have lost a wonderful individual.
I loved speaking to Clyde. We had many many conversations regarding Town of Antigonish affairs. I truly believe he was a great supporter of mine when the Municipal Elections rolled around. Always happy to hear his comments. Always Thankful for his support.
God love and Bless You all during this difficult time. The lost of Jim and then Clyde is so much to handle. It is very hard to put into Words the sadness I feel for you all.
When I run into you as days goes on, I will offer you a BIG hug.
Dear sweet Clyde…Rest in Peace!
Love to All…

Dear Nunn Family,
What difficult times you are having with the loss of Clyde so soon after Jim!
Clyde was indeed a generous and lively presence. I remember him being so good to my growing kids during our annual family vacation in Bayfield. Sarah and Thompson particularly were the recipients of many fun outings through the kindness of Clyde, coming back home full of joy and stories. And there was the time Clyde asked me to look after his canaries, which didn’t end so well. But that’s a story for a time when glasses are being raised in toast and memories shared.
I hope the comments shared about Clyde during these difficult days help to soften your losses, and bring a few smiles to your faces.
With deep sympathy,
Maria (Desjardins)

My sincerest condolences to the Nunn family at the loss of sweet Clyde. We had such fun together in the 80’s when we all supported our old friend Sandy Cameron. So many parties together where we all made sure that on Clyde’s birthday, we had a “Clyde Cake”, made special for him at a Quinpool Road Bakery. Clyde was an old friend, however, he was never forgotten. We hope that all of those wonderful memories of Clyde, shared in your beautifully written obituary, will bring you peace at this very difficult time of loss.

My sincerest condolences to all the Nunn family.
I first met Clyde in elementary school and we were almost inseparable all the way through to and beyond StFX. We actually had business dealings while I worked at Sobeys and Clyde was with Metro Label.
We spent hours together and with the rest of the Clique.
Cruising the roads of town and county- At the time I wondered if the Beetle had four-wheel drive as I’m sure we were on paths that we were not supposed to be.
Music played a huge part in our friendship. We spent hours listening to and talking about music and the artists.
We traveled with some of the Clique to Orlando Disney in 82. Lots of crazy fun and we made it back safe and sound.
Politics was also a huge part of our friendship. There was few topics off the table. We had so many interesting discussions anytime we got together with the gang.
We also worked many elections together and also attended many annual meetings and leadership conventions.
Clyde was a kind man, a loyal friend, and a very community minded patriotic individual. He did everything he could to make those around him feel better.

What a shock to hear of Clyde’s death. As part of The Clique, we spent many hours driving around town, spending hours at the radio station while he was on air, going to Bayfield, playing mischief at high school ( hiding tapes in ceiling much to our home room teachers horror). He was one of the first people I met in Grade 7 and remained a buddy for years. He always was the DD when we were all up to no good ( often taking car keys off friends who shouldn’t have been driving), he sold me the treasured VW Super Beetle the day before my first child was born( actually taught me how to drive a standard in that car saying if I could drive a VW I could drive anything!!), he was funny, witty, smart as a whip and, unlike the stereotypical red head, was steady and calm! So soon after his brothers death, I’m sending all my love to his family as they navigate two tragic events. What a loss....

My heartfelt condolences to the Nunn family. I first met Clyde in grade 10, when we county kids joined the townies at the Regional. A group of us bonded quickly and became fast friends…..it was Clyde who christened us “The Clique”.
Clyde was full of adventure and hijinx, was beyond generous, and was a loyal and compassionate friend. He’s left is with lots of fond memories! I recall the time he put together a recording of various sound effects and hid a tape player in the ceiling of our grade 10 classroom. The intermittent sounds played throughout English class, much to our amusement and delight. Teacher Neil McKenna was not so amused!l
I feel blessed to have had Clyde as a friend and will cherish the memories……he has enriched our lives. May he rest in peace.

The shocking news of Clyde’s sudden passing has reached Heather and me during our travels outside of Canada. Wonderful memories are flooding back. Clyde and I shared life experiences from grade 6 at Morrison School through high school, university, Halifax, and even Toronto.
Clyde was a trusted, earnest, faithful friend, a confidant. He was someone I could count on to listen, and offer good advice and support. Despite his better judgement, he helped nurture some of my more foolish schemes, when he saw humour. Indeed, he was the man to deliver the toast to the groom at our wedding.
Clyde’s generosity was boundless, especially as he shared himself and his family with his friends. How lucky we are to have shared time with him. Rest in peace friend.
With our sympathy to the Nunn family.

Clyde was a wonderful and supportive friend during high school. I (and others in our friend group) spent many happy hours in his company at the radio station, on Hillcrest Street, at Bayfield, and driving up and down Main Street. His hospitable nature knew no bounds and we all benefitted from his generosity. My sincere condolences to the Nunn family on the loss of Clyde. May your happy memories sustain you during this time.

I first met Clyde in Mrs MacDonald's grade primary class in Morrison school. We continued to be schoolmates for 13 years. In highschool we hung out with the same group of people that we called the Clique. I remember nothing but good times from these days. Once when Clyde allowed some of us to keep him company while he did the late night shift at the radio station and he was doing the weather report he said that Monday will be mainly Sunday. Of course we all laughed and once he put on another record and cut the mike he said "Judas I can't believe I said that" and laughed with us.
I will always remember Clyde as a kind compassionate friend. I will miss him.

Sincere condolences to Clyde's family. I worked on an election many years ago with Clyde and he had a great sense of humor along with his political knowledge and was wonderful to work with. He was a fixture at political events and will be greatly missed. Too young to leave us. May he now rest in peace. God Bless all of you.

To the Nunn family - I was shocked and saddened to hear of Clyde's passing this week. We were great friends through high school and beyond (even though I wasn't a Townie). Clyde was one of the first in our circle to have his own car so it was always an adventure trying to jam 7 or 8 people into a Volkswagen Beetle to head to The Wheel. His obituary is exceedingly well written - I will always remember him as someone with a big heart and a genuine, nice guy. May your memories of Clyde comfort you all at this very difficult time.
