Obituary of John Angus O'Brien

John Angus O’Brien passed away in his home in Maryvale on April 29, 2023 at the age of 80.  He was born in Antigonish, the second of eight children of the late Mary and Alfred O’Brien.  

John Angus had a keen interest in antique cars.  He could often be seen driving his 1954 Ford Custom Line and participating in car shows and local parades.

John Angus worked in construction for many years.  Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the woods.

He is survived by son Ricky (Maria) and their children, Jillian and Liam of Pennsylvania; sisters Margie; Virginia; Dianne (Donnie), Florida; Brenda (Brian), Woodstock, NB; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Leona, and many nieces, nephews,grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, infant son John, brothers Harry, Thomas and Wayne, sister Mona and niece Linda.

Cremation has taken place.  A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
