I knew Johnny from volunteering at the RK nursing home where I was friends with another gentleman. We worked the canteen and Johnny was a frequent visitor. Always polite, funny and engaging. I teased him over his love of the Leafs, me being a Habs fan. My elderly friend was jealous of Johnny as I always spent extra time with him and pushed him back to his area with all his treats. He once asked me out to Bingo but said I would have to pay my own way! One time my husband was in when I couldn’t go. Johnny made sure to tell him that I had given him a kiss!! Then he laughed when my husband pretended to be outraged! Many condolences to the family over the loss of such a charming man!
