Sincere condolences to Allisters children, brother and sisters.
I met his sister Karen on an occasion at Wayne and Judy MacLeods with Carmen.
Allisters obituary describes a very down to earth, mild mannered, loving family man. These attributes must be very comforting to the family as they reminisce about his life. Sincerely, Sandra

Allister Smith is certainly a gentleman that I will always remember. He was a frequent visitor to our home/farm and always brought a warm smile plus unbelievable patience for that yappy, curious lad tagging along at his heels. Whether it was a failed piston water pump, a faulty pressure tank, a jinxed Kemac Range or a cantankerous old floor furnace - Allister always got it fixed. Irrespective of the problem, the weather conditions or the time of day he never showed any frustration … just the same kind smile he brought in the kitchen door when he first arrived. Time is no one’s friend and I cannot remember my last encounter with Allister over the last 50 years but this I know … anyone who encountered Allister over his lifetime were truly blessed. (Hebrews 13:2) RIP friend. Paul Fraser
