My most sincere condolences to all the MacLellan families, I knew Clair best. Over the many years our family saw how much time your Dad dedicated at the Eastern N.S. Exhibition, the Fire department, he was a very devoted man, 'he put his heart & soul in his work & it certainly showed. Heaven certainly has a wonderful angel joining them. May Our Good & Gracious Lord take the very best of care of him. I will never forget the day that my family went to your family home on St Mary's St. to look at a pony, your caring grandfather put me on her back & he told me to hold her mane, while he held very tightly onto my wrist & he walked me around the driveway - 43 years ago that dear little Shetland pony (with registration paper) stayed in our family, then she went to 'pony heaven', I have only the very best of memories of the ponies we had & the few horses that I looked after. Thanks to your very caring father & grandfather for showing me that beautiful & caring pony (aka 'Big Dog'). God's many Blessings to everyone.

Dear MacLellan family,
We are so sorry to hear of Donald's passing. When we moved to Antigonish and into the house on St. Mary's Street, it was so wonderful to get the story of the house and the area from Donald, which he spoke about with such fondness. We will miss his friendly wave across the backyard and generous smile. We know he will be missed from the many roles he held in the community over the years, but most of all as a loving father and grandfather. Please accept our condolences as you feel his loss.

To the family and many friends of Donald MacLellan, please accept my sincere condolences over his passing. History will remember Donald as one of the more iconic characters who helped make Antigonish a place the rest of us are proud to call home. I was fortunate to meet Donald while I was still a kid and found him then to be a kind and good human being. It was encouraging to read his well crafted eulogy and be reminded that what I always believed about Donald was true. Rest in Peace Donald.

Denise and I were very sad to hear of Uncle Donald’s passing. I will always remember:
going to the farm with Donald in my earlier years and “making hay”,
hosting him and Claire after he got the Medal of Bravery when we lived in Ottawa,
and dropping by his home on Victoria Street for the “bed lunch” with his very welcoming family.
He lived a very full life. May he rest in peace.
