Obituary of Margaret Bruce MacIsaac

Margaret "Cecilia"  MacIsaac, 88, foster daughter of Gabriel and Isobella of South Side Harbour and Sylvan Valley Rd. Ant. died Tues. Dec. 20, 2016 at Halifax Infirmary. Cecilia graduated from Teachers College and taught 28 years in Antigonish and Guysborough Counties. She was a founding member of Queen of Peace Franciscans Third Order. She was predeceased by her husband Angus; sons Peter Brian and Wayne and granddaughter Sonya. She is survived by sons Michael (Clarita) Edmonton, Ab, Carmen, Onoway, Ab, Brian (Christine) , daughters Mary (John Chan) Halifax, Patricia (Lyle Smith) Antigonish and Marie (Wilfred Wier) Halifax; grandchildren Darrell and Cory MacIsaac, Jordan and Jared MacIsaac, Sarah Chan, Heather, Angus and Alvin Smith, Caileigh and Erin MacIsaac; and great-grandchildren Isabella, Kius, Charlee and Myra. Visitation at MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tues. Dec. 27. Funeral Mass 11am on Wed. Dec. 28 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, St Andrews with Fr. Gary MacPherson presiding. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to the St. Andrew’s Cemetery Fund.
