I always went to see Sadie when I went home. She used to visit my parents when she came home from the States and that was when I first observed her beauty and her gentleness. She was still beautiful at 100 when I visited her a month ago. She was one of the last of her generation and I will miss her. Now she is in the arms of the God she loved.

Dear Sarita, Paula, and Janice:
We are sending our sincere condolences to you and all the MacQuarrie family members on the passing of your dear aunt Sadie. Although we did not know Sadie personally, seeing her regularly at Mass and often walking downtown, we were always touched by her sprightly step and her beautiful youthfulness. Having lived a full life and attaining the grand age of 100, may she now rest peacefully in the arms of God and all her loved ones.
